Media Ethics

Standards of the newsroom.

Film & Stage Media Group publications operate to a written standard of media ethics covering reporting, imagery, interviews, minors, private grief and the separation of comment from fact.

Reporting

Reporting is fair, accurate and grounded in evidence. Subjects of critical coverage are given a reasonable opportunity to respond, and their responses are represented faithfully.

Imagery

Photographs and video are not staged, manipulated or captioned in a way that misrepresents the subject or the event. Digital enhancement is limited to standard editorial adjustments and is disclosed where material.

Comment & Analysis

Reviews, criticism and opinion pieces are clearly distinguished from news reporting and are attributed to a named writer. Commercial content is labelled as such.

Concerns

Concerns about the conduct of a Group journalist or publication may be raised with Press@FilmAndStageMediaGroup.com.
